5,075 Aceh Pilgrims Have Arrived Back Home, One More Batch Remains in Medina

Banda Aceh – The return process for Aceh pilgrims from the 1447 H/2026 M Hajj season continues to go smoothly. A total of 5,075 pilgrims have arrived back in the country through the Aceh Debarkation. One batch of 389 pilgrims is still in Medina and is scheduled to return on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 03:00 WIB. Head of PPIH Embarkation/Debarkation Aceh, Drs. H. Arijal, M.Si, stated that the whole process is on schedule thanks to good coordination. “Alhamdulillah, as of today, 5,075 Aceh pilgrims have safely returned to the homeland,” he said. PPIH is also monitoring the pilgrims’ health, with three still hospitalized in Saudi Arabia and 18 pilgrims having passed away during the Hajj rituals. Arijal urged the public to pray for the deceased pilgrims and called on families to follow official information and the pickup rules at the Aceh Hajj Dormitory. “With only one batch remaining, the return operation will soon be complete.
