Why is it so hard for people to show kindness, SubhanAllah?
Assalamu alaikum. I don't have any fancy phrases or scholarly talk - I just wish for more kindness in the world, honestly. What makes it so difficult? Why can't strangers simply offer sincere, gentle words without it feeling fake or like there's an ulterior motive? Why does expressing kindness feel awkward and make people suspicious, while harsh words are treated as normal and nobody thinks that's embarrassing? Why do folks spend more energy assuming the worst about others than giving them the benefit of the doubt? When will people praise someone for good intentions the same way they rush to blame for things not done? Why do people seem to mock what is beautiful and comfortable with approving wrong actions? What should we do, as Muslims and as people, to change this? I'm really tired of seeing it.
