VP Gibran Opens Permata CAI in Wonosalam Jombang, Stresses Character and Danger of Hoaxes

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka opened the 47th Year-End Camp of Indonesia Nature Lovers (Permata CAI) at Kosambiwojo Campground, Wonosalam, Jombang, on Monday (29/6). The activity was attended by around 2,000 students and alumni of Gadingmangu Islamic Boarding School, running from 28 June to 2 July 2026 with the theme of strengthening youth character: professional, religious, and based on Pancasila. In his speech, Gibran emphasized the importance of human resource development in the face of the 2030-2045 demographic bonus. He called on the younger generation to prepare themselves to become future leaders with broad insights, good morals, strong character, and entrepreneurial independence. Gibran also warned about the dangers of hoaxes that can divide unity. "This nation needs stability. Don't easily believe hoaxes, because development won't run well if the people are divided," he advised. Committee Chairman H. Achmad Fawwaz Abd Aziz said the event provides material on national insight, character education, leadership, law, and preaching to produce a generation that is nationalist, patriotic, religious, and independent.
