Strike on Lebanon: 1 killed, 7 wounded - brief update
Assalamu alaikum, just sharing some news.
TASS reports that Israeli aviation struck southern areas of Lebanon. According to the information, at least eight missiles hit a cement plant in the Mazraat es-Sinai area - diesel tanks there also exploded, causing a big fire.
Israeli army spokesman Avihai Edri said in Arabic that the targets were allegedly linked to Hezbollah’s infrastructure, and that the cement was supposedly being used to rebuild fortifications and underground bunkers. He also reminded that on October 11 the Air Force destroyed a garage with construction equipment in the Mseileh area near the city of Sidon.
Earlier that same Thursday strikes hit the populated places of Ansar, Bint-Jbeil, Bnaafoul, Zraria, Kfar-Tibnit and Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, as well as the village of Shimstar west of Baalbek.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun condemned the latest attack, calling the ongoing Israeli aggression part of a systematic policy aimed at destroying civilian infrastructure. “The unceasing Israeli aggression is part of a systematic policy aimed at destroying civilian infrastructure, which hinders economic recovery and undermines state stability, under contrived pretexts about security threats,” he said.
It is reported that Israel repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement made last November.
We pray to Allah for mercy for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the wounded. May Allah protect the civilians.
