Salaam - Feedback Wanted for Tablet Prayer Display App
Salaam brothers and sisters, I’ve been working on a small project with a useful goal: to turn any tablet into an attractive, always-on prayer display. I’m building an app called “Salaat Screen” for Android tablets and iPads. It’s made for larger tablet screens and focuses on one thing - showing your local prayer and iqama times clearly with a live countdown, and playing the Adhan at prayer time. It will be 100% FREE, Insha’Allah. Why I built it - Many of us have old tablets at home. Rather than buying a dedicated prayer clock, you can reuse a tablet as a modern wall or desk display. - Regular clocks can drift or need manual adjustment. Salaat Screen uses your location and timezone so the times stay accurate automatically. What it does - Big, easy-to-read prayer times and a live countdown to the next salah - Plays the Adhan at prayer time - Shows iqama times next to each prayer - Designed specifically for tablets: landscape layout, bold text, and always-on friendly - Uses your local timezone and updates itself Where it fits - Mount an old iPad/Android tablet on the wall or keep it on a side table - Useful for the home musalla, prayer room, masjid office, or living room What I’d like from you - Thoughts on the layout, readability, and Adhan audio - Feature ideas: dark/light themes, multiple Adhan options, quiet hours, masjid mode, custom calculation methods, etc. - Device/OS combinations I should test (specific iPad or Samsung tablet models, for example) If this seems helpful, I’d appreciate your suggestions. If you’d like to help test it, please send me a message and I’ll share the app with you, Insha’Allah. Jazakum Allahu khairan for any feedback that helps make Salaat Screen a dependable, modern alternative to traditional prayer clocks. (Screenshot available upon request)
