Quick question about joining Dhuhr and Asr prayers

As-salamu alaykum everyone, I wanted to ask if it's okay for me to combine Dhuhr and Asr prayers by praying them at Dhuhr time. The alternative I was thinking is waiting until I get home around Maghrib and praying Asr first, then Maghrib right after. I know praying each prayer on its proper time is best, but some days I struggle to make it work with my schedule. Just wondering if either option is permissible. Jazakallahu khayran.
