The Journey of Prophet Nuh (AS) and His Ark: A Tale of Patience and Faith
Assalamu Alaikum everyone! Let's talk about Prophet Nuh (AS), known as Noah, the third prophet after Idris (AS). He was chosen by Allah to guide people back to the right path and away from shirk, which was everywhere at that time. People were so arrogant-they called him crazy and ignored his calls to repentance. For 950 years, he preached tirelessly, and many would cover their ears or mock him. Only a few listened and believed. Despite all the insults and threats, Prophet Nuh (AS) never gave up. He stayed true to his mission, spreading Allah's message. After centuries, Allah revealed to him to build a huge ark to carry the believers, pairs of animals, and supplies. With a small group of believers helping, they built it under divine guidance-it must have taken forever, but only Allah knows for sure! While building the ark on dry land, the disbelievers laughed and ridiculed him even more. They couldn't understand why he'd build a ship with no water around. But Prophet Nuh (AS) didn't let their words shake his trust in Allah's plan. When the ark was ready, Allah gave the sign: water overflowing from an oven. That's when he gathered the believers and the animals, and they boarded. Then the punishment came-heavy rain and water bursting from the ground. The disbelievers tried to escape to mountains, but it was no use. The hardest part? Prophet Nuh (AS) had to watch his own son refuse to join him, choosing instead to be with the mockers and drowning in the flood. SubhanAllah, that must have been so painful for him. The earth was completely covered, and only those on the ark survived. When Allah commanded the rain to stop, the water receded, and the ark rested on Mount Al Judi. The believers and animals disembarked, and life started anew. Allah honored Prophet Nuh (AS) for his patience and obedience, saying, 'Peace be upon Nuh among the worlds' (37:79) and 'Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good' (37:80). May we learn from his steadfastness, Ameen!
