Putin: Russia and Azerbaijan have a lot of common interests

The president expressed hope that the interaction between Moscow and Baku will only grow stronger based on brotherhood and mutual respect. The meeting also touched on the tragedy involving the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that occurred on December 25 last year near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, which resulted in 38 deaths. Putin noted that Russia is assisting with the investigation, which will be completed soon, and that all necessary measures, including compensation and legal assessment, will be taken. Earlier, it was reported that the naval forces of Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan signed a cooperation agreement.
