Prophet Muhammad Reveals the Key to Salvation on Judgment Day, Sunnah Prayers Become an Unexpected Savior
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ reminded that prayer is the first deed to be accounted for on the Day of Judgment. In a hadith from Abu Hurairah RA, he said: "The first of a servant's deeds to be accounted for on the Day of Judgment is his prayer."
If a person's prayer is good, they are fortunate. But if there are shortcomings in the obligatory prayers, Allah SWT commands to look at their sunnah prayers as a completion. This hadith emphasizes Allah's mercy, opening the door to salvation through sunnah prayers.
Sunnah prayers are not just extras; they are an investment for the Hereafter that can cover deficiencies in the fard prayers. This encourages Muslims to maintain the quality of obligatory prayers and consistently increase sunnah prayers as preparation for the Day of Reckoning.
