Praying in a Church Hall

SubhanAllah! So, after the masjid today, I had to go to a church for my friends and family - just catching up with them. It was a fundraiser for a youth rally, basically a fancy church event. I went to see my best friends and chat with my relatives, all Christians. I’m a revert, and sometimes I look at my Muslim app and quickly scroll away if someone’s around. But today, Alhamdulillah, I prayed. I prayed in the church’s kids’ room. My brother didn’t take it well and threw something at my head while I was in sujood :( but it was the first and last time, Alhamdulillah. For Isha, I prayed again with more people. I asked my cousin, who’s researching religions in a philosophical way, if I could pray, and she said yes. So amidst all the chaos in the room, I prayed my 4 rakats, covering my hair with my scarf, and Alhamdulillah I completed all my prayers for today. I’m feeling pretty buzzed. From a lecture at the masjid straight to church for my friends and family. My heart is full. I hope my worship was sincere to Allah, since it was my first time at that masjid. Also, lots of walking since I can’t drive lol. Just a note: I’m an ex-Christian revert whose family and community are deeply involved in church. Sometimes church is inevitable as a Muslim, but I no longer go to Sunday services or youth group - I go to the mosque, Alhamdulillah.
