Looking for some guidance

Assalamu alaikum, Just a bit about me: I'm a guy in my early 20s from India. I finished my bachelor's in computer science, and alhamdulillah, I landed a good tech job right after college. My parents have started hinting that I should get ready for marriage and be a responsible husband. I pray all five daily prayers on time, try to pray Tahajjud when I can, memorize new surahs in my free time, and overall keep things halal. I'm wondering what else I can do to improve myself and prepare for married life and growing up. Also, I have another concern. I'm planning to move to the US or Canada for work or studies (my current company is based in the US and sometimes transfers employees). My parents trust me to make my own choices for a spouse, but I worry that people there might think I'm just looking for a visa, which isn't true at all. I'd really appreciate any advice.
