Looking for recommendations on which Surah to begin with for understanding the Quran?

As-salamu alaykum everyone! I'm a Muslim and I've read the Quran before, but to be honest, I never really understood the deeper meaning since Arabic isn't my first language. I'm really wanting to start connecting with the message by reading a good translation. Could anyone suggest a Surah to start from? I'd really appreciate any advice, especially if you can share the reasoning and maybe any Hadith references. Jazakum Allahu khayran in advance!
