Sidoarjo Regency Government Facilitates Vehicles for 2,700 Hajj Pilgrims in 2026
The Sidoarjo Regency Government is enhancing services for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage by allocating vehicle facilities for 2,700 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims (CJH). This commitment was emphasized by Deputy Regent Mimik Idayana during the departure of CJH at the Delta Wibawa Hall on Tuesday (5/5). "Alhamdulillah, we have indeed been budgeted this year for pilgrim services, to facilitate vehicles," she said.
A total of 584 pilgrims from Groups 55 and 56 were dispatched to the Holy Land that day. The Acting Head of the Sidoarjo Regency Hajj Ministry, Eliana, explained that the total pilgrims from Sidoarjo are divided into 11 groups, consisting of 1,221 male pilgrims and 1,479 female pilgrims. Departures have been ongoing since April 26 and will continue gradually until the final group.
In addition to facility support, pilgrims are reminded to maintain their health and solidarity during the approximately 25-day wait before the peak of the pilgrimage. The oldest pilgrim is 90 years old, while the youngest is 16. With this support, the regency government hopes that the entire Hajj pilgrimage series will proceed smoothly and that pilgrims achieve a mabrur Hajj.
