KPK Digs Into Alleged Funds Bupati Kuansing Prepared for Forestry Minister
BANDA ACEH - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still digging into the alleged flow of 46,500 Singapore dollars that Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Bupati Suhardiman Amby gathered to give to Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the money was allegedly collected through cooperatives, village heads, and subdistrict heads, then exchanged into Singapore dollars. Raja Juli has admitted receiving the money, but KPK hasn't confirmed the exact amount because the gratuity report didn't list a figure. KPK also seized 12,500 Singapore dollars from the Kuansing DPRD Speaker, which is suspected to be part of the funds that were returned. Investigators are still tracing the motive, purpose, and parties involved in this alleged gratuity.
