International Conference Participants Admire Banyuwangi, Say Its People Are Friendly and Islamic

Dozens of international conference participants were impressed by the friendliness of Banyuwangi's people, which they saw as a real-life implementation of Islamic values. The conference, titled "Access to Justice in Southeast Asia 2026," was attended by delegates from 12 countries. Fehmida Kanwal from Pakistan praised the application of Islamic values in various aspects. Destiny Perez Orozco from the US also mentioned that her experience of traveling around and having discussions in Banyuwangi gave her new insights about Islam. Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani stressed that maqasid sharia values serve as the foundation of the local government's policies to create inclusive leadership and fair public services.
