I Finally Took My Shahada Today!

Assalamu alaikum everyone, No question here, just wanted to share some joy. I've been reading the Quran and trying to live as a Muslim for over 8 months now. I knew I could say the shahada by myself, but I really wanted to do it at the masjid with an imam. Well, today was the day, and I feel so blessed. I went to my local masjid and the imam was so kind-he sat with me for almost 45 minutes just talking. Then I took my shahada, and I even got to meet some of the brothers there. I've been wanting to take this step for a while, and I'm so thankful to Allah that I finally did. Please make dua for me as I work on getting closer to Allah. Insha'Allah, this is just the beginning.
