Getting to Know the Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) Prayer 'Robbi Habli Minassholihin' for Praying for Righteous Descendants

In Islamic teachings, there are prayers that are taught, one of which is "Robbi habli minassholihin." This prayer comes from Surah As-Saffat verse 100, which was once offered by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS). The meaning of the prayer is, "My Lord, grant me (a child) from among the righteous." Prophet Ibrahim (AS) prayed to be granted descendants who are righteous, obedient, and can accompany him in his preaching. Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) prayer was answered by Allah SWT with the birth of two sons, namely Prophet Ismail (AS) from his second wife, Hajar, and Prophet Ishaq (AS) from his first wife, Sarah. Both were later sent by Allah SWT as prophets and messengers. Through this prayer, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) also teaches the importance of praying for good and pious descendants. Besides the prayer of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), there are several similar prayers from other prophets. For example, the prayer of Prophet Zakaria (AS) in Surah Ali Imran verse 38 and Surah Al-Anbiya verse 89, which prays for righteous descendants even in a state of old age and a barren wife. Prophet Ibrahim (AS) also prayed in Surah Ibrahim verse 40 for himself and his descendants to remain steadfast in prayer.
