From Recipients to Givers: The Spirit of Self-Reliance with Pondok Sedekah Indonesia and UCare Indonesia
LAZ Pondok Sedekah Indonesia handed over assistance of 10 business carts and working capital to 10 beneficiaries at the LAZ Pondok Sedekah Indonesia office in Bekasi City on Thursday (5/21/2026). This program aims to strengthen the economy of the lower-income community so they can earn a living independently and with dignity.
Director of Pondok Sedekah Indonesia, Senggono, hopes this assistance becomes a continuous act of charity. He also mentioned other programs like mosque renovations, well endowments, and distributing pocket-sized Qur'ans for online motorcycle taxi drivers.
Head of PenaisZawa Section at the Bekasi City Ministry of Religious Affairs, H. Hasbialloh, appreciated the targeted distribution of zakat by Pondok Sedekah Indonesia and UCare Indonesia. He hopes the beneficiaries will one day become givers to others.
Donor dr. Kabul Priyantoro emphasized the importance of maintaining faith and social concern, and advised those facing economic difficulties not to lose hope.
