Jember Regent Prepares 70 Buses for 2,956 Jemaah Haji 2026

The Jember Regency Government has prepared 70 buses to transport 2,956 prospective pilgrims (calon jamaah haji) from Jember, who are divided into nine groups (90–98). The departure will be carried out from May 14 to 16, 2026. The Head of the Jember Religious Affairs Office (Kantor Kementerian Agama Jember), Nurul Hadi Yasin, stated that the capacity of each bus is limited to 40–42 people according to health and safety standards. The gathering points are located at the district office (kantor camat), KBIHU, and Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) within the Jember area. For backup pilgrims in groups 71, 85, and 86, small buses are provided with an earlier departure schedule on May 9 and 13, 2026.
