Finally prayed again after a long break
Assalamu alaikum, everyone. It's been about three years since I last prayed, and I know that's really wrong, but I won't get into all the reasons. I admit I've been neglecting my salah, and I'm aware that skipping prayers is a major sin-it's something I deeply regret and don't want to define my end. This Ramadan, I'm determined to turn things around and keep praying even after the month ends. Last Ramadan, I only fasted and didn't pray at all, which I know wasn't right. So today, I did ghusl and prayed Isha for the first time in years, sticking to just the fard and witr. I had to jog my memory on the steps and recitations since I'd forgotten some parts. I ended up making mistakes in the fard-I redid it once, but then realized I'd messed up again and didn't repeat it as I should have. With the witr, I'm not sure if the first two rakats were correct, and I definitely messed up the witr dua in the third rakat without redoing it. Basically, I feel like I did everything wrong, and because I'm struggling, I didn't fix it properly. I doubt my prayer was valid or accepted, and I was losing wudhu, which partly explains why I didn't restart. I'm not sure what to do next-I really want to pray correctly, during Ramadan and beyond, and I'd appreciate any advice. Also, I missed taraweeh because I didn't realize it comes before witr. As a Hanafi, I'm looking for guidance that fits my madhhab. Jazakum Allahu khayran for any support.
