Deported from Indonesia, Abdul Miqdad Reportedly Masterminded Attack Plan on Israeli Sites in Cyprus

The Geneva Council for Rights and Liberties (GCRL) expressed concerns over the arrest and swift deportation of Abdul Karim Miqdad (41) from Indonesia to Cyprus. The human rights organization warned that this move could lead to his extradition to Israel. Cypriot police accuse Miqdad of masterminding an attack plan against Israeli interests in Cyprus. He allegedly acted as a network coordinator from Malaysia, directing other members to make explosive devices. Three other Palestinians have been tried in Cyprus in connection with this plan. Miqdad was arrested in Indonesia on the 16th of this month and deported the following day.
