Day 10 of Hajj Operations 1447H: 54,604 Pilgrims Depart, Government Emphasizes Rule Enforcement
The implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage 1447 Hijri/2026 AD has entered its 10th operational day. Official data as of April 29, 2026, shows that 138 groups, totaling 54,604 pilgrims, have been dispatched to the Holy Land. 132 groups with 52,343 pilgrims have arrived in Medina and have settled into the prepared accommodations. "Alhamdulillah, the process of sending off and receiving pilgrims has been running smoothly, orderly, and well-served at all service points," said the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Hajj and Holy Affairs, Annisa, in Jakarta, Thursday (30/4/2026).
Despite the operational smoothness, the Hajj authorities emphasized there is no tolerance for procedural violations. Two Hajj Organizing Agencies (KBIHU), Nurul Haramain Probolinggo and Al Azhar Jakarta, received sanctions for conducting city tour activities outside the official program without permission. "We ensure that firm sanctions will be given. There is no compromise on any form of violation that could endanger the safety and order of the pilgrims," emphasized the Ministry spokesperson. The government also issued a stern warning regarding non-procedural Hajj practices that have the potential to endanger pilgrims.
In another report, the movement of pilgrims from Medina to Mecca has begun gradually as of April 30, 2026. In the health sector, it was recorded that 5 pilgrims were referred to the Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) and 89 to the Saudi Arabian Hospital (RSAS), with 49 pilgrims still undergoing treatment. The Ministry of Hajj also expressed condolences over the passing of two Indonesian pilgrims. A bus accident incident in Medina involving two groups was reported to have not caused serious casualties, with one pilgrim still undergoing intensive care. Another pilgrim from the LOP-05 group with the initials M was repatriated to Indonesia after being denied entry by Saudi immigration.
