Considering embracing Islam: What should I know before taking my shahada?

As-salamu alaykum, everyone. I'm currently contemplating taking my shahada to officially embrace Islam, and I’d love some advice. Is there anything you think I should learn or understand beforehand? Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated-JazakAllah Khair!
