Can Muslims Pray in a Synagogue?
Assalamu alaikum everyone! I’m not Muslim, but I have a dear Muslim friend who wanted to join me at my synagogue. As an Orthodox Jew, our tradition allows us to pray in a masjid-following rulings like Rambam’s that recognize Islam’s belief in tawhid. I was wondering, is the same true for Muslims who might want to pray in a Jewish space? I’d hate for my friend to unintentionally do something not permitted. In what situations would it be okay for a Muslim to pray in a synagogue? JazakAllah khair for your advice!
