Big renewable energy partnership between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia
Just read about Türkiye and Saudi Arabia signing a huge renewable energy deal! They're moving to phase two of a 5GW cooperation. The first 2GW of solar projects just got signed this week, and they'll sign the remaining 3GW (mix of solar, wind, and storage) at the COP31 climate summit in Antalya later this year. The chairman said it will deliver very competitive electricity prices in Türkiye and strengthen economic ties between the two countries. Total investment is expected to be around $4-5 billion. Really shows how countries are moving from promises to actual implementation on climate goals!
