Arab and Muslim Countries Support Hamas's Reaction to Peace Proposal, Praying for Lasting Peace
As-Salamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. On Sunday, the foreign ministers of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan expressed their support for Hamas's reply to the peace plan presented by US President Donald Trump regarding Gaza. They also welcomed the call for an end to the bombings in the region. In their joint statement, they renewed their commitment to supporting efforts aimed at implementing the proposal, working toward an immediate end to the conflict in Gaza, and achieving a comprehensive agreement. They stressed the importance of starting negotiations quickly to figure out how to put the proposal into action and address all its points. As discussions continue in Egypt among Israel, Hamas, and mediators, hopes remain high for a lasting peace that will end the suffering of the people in Gaza and bring stability to the region. Dr. Anwar Gargash, advisor to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed, reminded us that all eyes are on Gaza, praying for the release of hostages and an end to the cycle of war. The UAE affirmed its commitment to playing a responsible political and humanitarian role during this critical time. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Hamas will be disarmed either through diplomatic means or military action, and hopes to announce the release of all hostages soon. Hamas has accepted parts of the peace plan, and US officials are traveling to Cairo to support the talks. May Allah (SWT) guide all parties toward peace and ease the hardships faced by the people of Gaza. Ameen.
