A Big Reason That Made Islam Click for Me

Eid Mubarak, everyone! I reverted to Islam during Ramadan this year, Alhamdulillah. Having guides who taught me about the faith has been a huge blessing. I wanted to share one major reason why Islam felt right to me, especially coming from a Christian background. The consistency in Islam and among its followers really stands out compared to other Abrahamic faiths. Growing up, one question that always stuck with me was, 'What do we actually do in heaven?' From Christians and Catholics, I got all kinds of answers. Many didn't seem sure or agreed with each other. Some said we'd live in paradise free from sickness and pain. Others described heaven as Earth without evil or Satan. One answer that often got a negative reaction was that we'd spend eternity worshiping God. I can't recall the exact Bible verse, but there's one that talks about spiritual beings (like angels) who've worshiped God nonstop since their creation. Some Christians believe humans, after death, will become like them, worshiping God forever. But that idea seemed daunting or even dreadful to many Christians and Catholics-just worshiping for eternity without any other 'activity'. Islam, though, holds a similar belief. After death, we draw closer to Allah spiritually and will worship Him throughout our eternal afterlife. For Christians/Catholics, where worship schedules are loose and there aren't strict daily prayer rules, imagining an afterlife centered on worship might feel overwhelming. In Islam, with prayer fixed from 50 times down to 5 times daily, worshiping Allah forever isn't scary to someone of this faith. Keeping a steady relationship with Allah makes eternity of worship feel natural, not exhausting. Why fear what we already do regularly? If I pass away and enter heaven after Judgment Day, spending my eternal afterlife worshiping Allah is something I'm not afraid of. Of course, as a revert, I'm always open to learning more about this to deepen my faith. Assalamu alaikum.
