85 Thousand Pilgrims Arrive Back Home, Kemenhaj Highlights the Meaning of Hajj Mabrur
As of the 13th day of the return phase, some 85,290 Indonesian pilgrims and officers have arrived back home. That number covers 217 flight groups, broken down into 84,425 pilgrims and 865 officers, or around 41.7 percent of the total Indonesian hajj pilgrims.
Ministry of Hajj spokesperson Ichsan Marsha said the repatriation process is going well, with safety and comfort being prioritized. Meanwhile, 222 flight groups have been dispatched from Saudi Arabia, consisting of 86,378 pilgrims and 885 officers. The movement of the second wave of pilgrims from Mecca to Medina is also underway, with 120 flight groups (46,017 pilgrims and 480 officers) already heading to Medina.
Amidst the return, Kemenhaj stressed the importance of upholding the values of care and brotherhood that grew during the pilgrimage. Ichsan Marsha views hajj not just as a spiritual journey, but also a lesson in helping each other and mutual cooperation that should be reflected in community life.
Kemenhaj is committed to ensuring the return goes smoothly until all pilgrims get back to their respective regions, and hopes the pilgrims carry with them a spirit of goodness as part of a hajj mabrur that benefits those around them.
