619 Joint Personnel Deployed to Secure Two Protests in Central Jakarta

A total of 619 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Central Jakarta Metro Police, and local precincts have been put on standby to secure two protests in Central Jakarta on Monday (today). The security measures are meant to make sure the expression of opinions goes off safely and in an orderly way. The first protest by the Kwini 8 Bersatu Residents Communication Forum is scheduled for 10:00 AM WIB at the Senen Subdistrict Office and Senen District Office. The second one at 1:00 PM WIB in the Gambir area involves the Indonesian Muslim Student Union Central Jakarta Branch along with other community elements. The police have prepared situational traffic diversions around the locations and are advising people to adjust their routes to cut down on congestion.
