The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) estimates that the National Dhikr and Prayer event at Monas, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (August 1, 2026) will be attended by around 100 thousand people from various regions. Director of Islamic Religious Information Muchlis M. Hanafi urged participants to come early to avoid overcrowding.
Kemenag continues to finalize preparations through cross-ministry and agency coordination, covering participant access, security, health services, and transportation. The committee coordinates with the State Secretariat, the National Police, the Indonesian Military, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
Participants are advised to arrive at designated gathering points, bring worship equipment for Muslims, follow security procedures, and maintain cleanliness and order. The committee provides a main stage, health posts, security posts, and transportation for participants from DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten.
Muchlis stated that the National Dhikr and Prayer is a moment of national togetherness to give thanks for independence. He invited all participants to maintain order and solemnity so that the event runs well and makes everyone proud.
