Why haven't we formed a united Muslim defense alliance yet?

Assalamu alaikum everyone. I just don't understand the delay anymore. Creating a strong coalition among Muslim nations makes sense for all of us. Is it fear of upsetting certain foreign powers, or are our leaders too caught up in internal conflicts to unite? Think about it: we have countries with significant military capabilities, like Pakistan's nuclear capabilities and the substantial forces in Egypt, Indonesia, and Iran. Plus, nations like Malaysia, Somalia/Yemen, the Gulf Arabs, and Egypt monitor key global trade routes-the Straits of Malacca and Hormuz, the Suez Canal, and the Bab el-Mandeb. With a coordinated defense, maybe tragic events like the conflicts in Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan could have been prevented, and our brothers and sisters in Lebanon and Palestine might not face daily bombardment. May Allah guide our leaders to unity and protection for the ummah.
