Emergency alerts were sent to phones urging people to immediately take shelter indoors, away from windows, and stay updated. Sadly, one person died from falling shrapnel in Abu Dhabi. Authorities say the situation is under control, but the U.S. and UK advised their citizens to shelter in place and register for updates. Dubai emphasized that safety is the top priority and normal operations are ongoing.
