Hey everyone, for those curious about Islam, what's it all about?

Assalamu alaikum, I've been wondering for some time and haven't really heard about Islam directly from someone who follows it. I was hoping I might meet someone and ask about this faith, but I haven't had that opportunity. So, I thought I'd ask here. How would you describe Islam? What are its core teachings? Why have you chosen it over other Abrahamic faiths? I'd really appreciate a detailed explanation from personal experience, since most of what I hear is secondhand. So... please share your own insights.

Islam is basically submission to one God, Allah. No partners, no intermediaries. It's not just a religion-it's a complete way of life, guidance for everything from daily prayers to social justice. Hope that helps.

Simplicity and logic drew me in. No complicated theology-just one God, one final book, one prophet. Other faiths felt changed by time; Quran stays preserved. Personal connection matters most, though.

Chose Islam because it answered my questions about life and justice clearly. The five pillars give structure, and the community feeling is strong. Other Abrahamic faiths seemed to have more debate about basics.
