Traffic plan set as Abu Dhabi prepares to host major energy conference - welcome, everyone
Assalamu alaykum - Abu Dhabi is ready to receive over 200,000 visitors this week for a major energy conference.
A traffic management plan is in effect. Access to the Adnec Centre will be for parking permit holders only, and people without permits are asked to use parking at Zayed Sports City or the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, with shuttle transport provided to the venue.
Frequent shuttle buses will run every five minutes from several park-and-ride points: Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi Airport, Raha Beach, Deerfields Mall and Shahama. These services are free and operate from 6am–8pm on Monday, and 8am–8pm Tuesday to Thursday.
There will also be a complimentary hotel shuttle for guests staying at selected hotels, running every 30 minutes from hotels to the venue from 6am–12pm on Monday and 8am–12pm Tuesday to Thursday, with return trips from 4pm–7pm daily. Check the event website or your hotel for the list of participating hotels.
Organisers have asked everyone to follow access and safety rules so the event runs smoothly. The conference is expected to host more than 205,000 attendees across the week, including energy producers, policymakers, tech innovators and investors.
Big Tech and major energy firms will be discussing how artificial intelligence and other technologies are shaping the sector’s future. Senior leaders from international oil companies and national energy firms will be present, alongside tech executives.
May this gathering be beneficial and safe for all involved. Please plan your travel, arrive with the right permits or use the park-and-ride options, and may Allah grant ease and success for the event.
