The Timeless Perfection of the Quran

As-salamu alaykum, I've been wondering, is it true that the Quran is already perfect in its own right, and we don't need to use modern scientific discoveries to prove its perfection, as some Islamic scholars suggest? Or should we continue to use these scientific miracles to demonstrate its greatness? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
