The Sounds Project Singer Reported to Polda Metro Jaya over Post Titled 'Takbir Style'
Clarisya Putri Maula (Acica), a member of Rombongan Bodonk Koplo (Robokop), has been reported to Polda Metro Jaya by attorney Muhammad Dimas Saputra. The report concerns a photo posted while performing at The Sounds Project Vol.9 with the caption 'Gaya takbir' which was considered insulting to Muslims. Clarisya has since changed the caption and apologized, but the report is still being pursued.
Dimas Saputra stated that Clarisya's actions have hurt the hearts of Muslims and hopes the legal process proceeds so similar incidents do not happen again. He also mentioned that this case occurred amid the viral controversy of a challenge to read the Quran with an alcoholic drink prize at the same festival.
Clarisya previously clarified that the caption was an expression of gratitude for the achievement of performing at a major festival, with no intention to insult any religion. However, she admitted her post caused an uproar and apologized.
