The Great Reward for Fasting Six Days of Shawwal After Ramadan

Narrated by Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, may God be pleased with him: The Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said: 'Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted the entire year.' That’s how the noble Prophet, peace be upon him, advised us. So fasting these days after Ramadan has a tremendous virtue-it’s like you’ve fasted the whole year! An irreplaceable opportunity to earn reward and complete your worship. May God make us among those who are keen on acts of obedience and seek to increase in good deeds. O God, accept our fasting and our night prayers.
