Tens of Thousands of Participants to Gather in Jombang, NU Congress Committee Prepares 100 Transport Vehicles

The Local Committee for the 35th Congress of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) has readied 100 four-wheeled vehicles to support participant mobility during the event at Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Tambakberas, Jombang. The fleet will be used to transport congress-goers from various points to the activity sites, so the flow of participant movement runs smoothly. Local Committee Chair KH Abdurrozaq Sholeh stated that providing the fleet is a priority, given that tens of thousands of participants are expected to attend by the end of August 2026. These vehicles are the result of a collaboration with the Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Alumni Association (IKABU) in Tambakberas, each providing 50 units. Progress on other infrastructure has reached around 70 percent, including the completion of a three-hectare parking area and the arrangement of the bazaar zone. Organizing Committee Chair Saifullah Yusuf is optimistic that the congress will proceed smoothly, supported by facilities like more than 150 toilets, air conditioning, meeting rooms, a communal kitchen, and an MSME exhibition area.
