Tamansari Village Head Stresses That Voting Rights for the 2026 Village Election Will Fully Refer to Bekasi Regent Regulation
Tamansari Village Head, M. Jahi Hidayat, stressed that the voter criteria for the 2026 Simultaneous Village Election will fully refer to the Bekasi Regency Regent Regulation (Perbup). This was conveyed after a socialization event at the Tamansari Village Office Hall, Setu District, on Saturday (4/7/2026).
The agreement was reached through deliberation and consensus with community figures and representatives of prospective village head candidates. Residents are eligible to vote if they are Indonesian citizens domiciled in Tamansari (with e-KTP), at least 17 years old or already married, have not had their voting rights revoked, have been registered at least 6 months before the voter list, and are not active members of the TNI/Polri.
Additionally, voting rights are forfeited for those who are not Tamansari residents, have passed away, moved their domicile, or are mentally ill based on agreement. Jahi emphasized that this rule is purely an affirmation of the Bekasi Regent Regulation, not a new unilateral rule. The committee and village government are committed to carrying out the process transparently.
