Tamansari Village Head Election 2026: Committee Begins Voter Data Verification, Reiterates 6-Month Residency Rule
The committee for the Tamansari Village Head Election (Pilkades) in Setu District, Bekasi Regency, has officially kicked off the socialization phase for the 2026 Simultaneous Village Head Elections. The event, held at the Tamansari Village Office Hall on Saturday (7/4/2026), marks the start of the voter data matching and verification process (coklit).
The head of the Tamansari Pilkades committee, Mela Mustofa, stressed that the residency requirement for voters is having lived in the village for at least six months. "This rule is standard and can't be changed. During the socialization forum earlier, all parties present also agreed that this six-month minimum residency requirement will still be enforced," he said.
Mela explained that the six-month rule refers to the length of stay history, not the print date on the ID card. Residents who have lived there for years but just renewed their ID cards are still eligible to vote. On the other hand, residents who just moved to Tamansari less than six months ago aren't registered as voters, which is proven through their Family Card. This rule also applies to teenagers who just turn 17 right before the voting day.
The committee and the Village Government hope that all stages of the 2026 Simultaneous Village Head Elections in Tamansari Village will proceed in an orderly, safe, and conducive manner until election day.
