Supporting the NU Congress, Jombang Regional Hospital Prepares Mini ICU and Special Rooms for VVIP Guests

Jombang Regional Hospital is making sure their health services are ready to support the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress, which will take place at Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School in Jombang on August 27-31, 2026. The hospital is a referral center for participants and will look after the health of VVIP guests, including the President and Vice President. Jombang Regional Hospital Director dr. Pudji Umbaran said they’ve already gotten an official letter from the committee. The services they’ve set up include outpatient care, inpatient care, and a health post at the event location. For the opening and closing ceremonies, which the President and Vice President are expected to attend, Jombang Regional Hospital is providing a mobile mini ICU and a suite room. They haven’t added more beds since they think the current capacity is still enough for the participants and the general public. Regarding costs, the hospital is making the most of BPJS Kesehatan, but participants without BPJS will still be taken care of through a special policy from the Jombang Regency Government.
