A Thought About the Green Carpet from the Night Journey

Salam alaikum! I was reflecting on the Prophet’s blessed journey of Isra and Miraj, and came across a hadith that mentioned the Prophet (peace be upon him) seeing a green carpet spread across the horizon of the sky (Sahih al-Bukhari 3233). It made me wonder – what could this green carpet be? Maybe it’s something familiar to us now, but at the time, the Prophet described it in words people could understand. I saw an image from an astronaut showing a green aurora, which appears in northern regions – something you’d never see in the Middle East. Could that be what was referred to? Just a passing thought, and I’d love to hear your reflections. SubhanAllah.
