SKI and Promedia Group Team Up to Renovate Al Barkah Prayer Room Through Worship Place Roof Replacement Program
PT Sirkular Karya Indonesia (SKI) and Promedia Group have made their CSR program "Worship Place Roof Replacement" a reality by renovating Al Barkah Prayer Room in Jatinegara, Cakung, East Jakarta. The program uses Alderon uPVC roofing to improve the quality of worship facilities.
The rehab process started on May 17, 2026, and wrapped up on June 17, 2026, covering roof replacement, ceiling repair, new lights, and painting. The initial two-week target got pushed back due to rainy weather, and then the locals took it upon themselves to continue renovating other parts like the walls, toilet, ablution area, and floor.
Promedia Group CEO, Agus Sulistriyono, said this is the first worship place roof replacement program they've done with SKI. The prayer room, managed by journalist Buchori M. Nur, has been around since 1992, so it needed a full makeover for the comfort of the worshippers.
