Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Visits Zayed National Museum Ahead of December Opening
Assalamu Alaikum, everyone! Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently visited the Zayed National Museum as it prepares to open this December. Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, the museum will highlight the UAE’s rich history and honor the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the nation’s founding father. The permanent exhibits will focus on important themes like protecting the environment, promoting cultural understanding, humanitarian efforts, and celebrating our heritage. During his visit, Sheikh Khaled met with Emirati experts and project leaders working on the museum’s completion. He mentioned that the museum is a true reflection of Sheikh Zayed’s wisdom and serves as a source of inspiration for future generations. It also shows the leadership’s dedication to culture as a key part of sustainable growth. Sheikh Khaled was joined by notable figures including Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon, Chairman of the Crown Prince Court; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Authority; Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Saood Al Hosani, Undersecretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. Mr. Al Mubarak shared that the museum represents the UAE’s vision of culture as a foundation for social and intellectual growth and will act as a bridge for dialogue between the UAE and the world. When it opens, the museum will offer six permanent galleries spread over two floors, a space for temporary exhibitions, and the beautiful Al Masar Garden outdoor gallery stretching 600 meters. Visitors will be able to see archaeological finds and artifacts that trace over 300,000 years of human history in the region. May Allah bless this project and make it a source of knowledge and inspiration for all.
