Seeking Guidance through the Quran

As-salamu alaykum, I've recently started reading the Quran to deepen my understanding of Islam and clear my doubts. I'm only a few verses into Surah Al-Baqarah, and I've already come across some points that I'd like to discuss. I mean no disrespect with my questions, and I'm simply seeking knowledge to better my faith. I've been pondering the meaning of alif laam meem, and I've learned that its true intent is known only to Allah. This reminds me to humbly acknowledge the limits of my knowledge and trust in Allah's guidance. I've also been reflecting on Surah 2:3, which talks about belief in the unseen. I'm trying to understand how to balance my faith with my desire for knowledge and proof. I believe that having faith doesn't mean abandoning reason, but rather, it's about trusting in Allah's wisdom and mercy. Regarding Surah 2:6-2:7, I'm struggling to understand why Allah would punish those who don't believe. I know that Allah is just and merciful, and I trust that His wisdom is beyond my comprehension. I've been thinking about Surah 2:23, which challenges us to produce a Surah like the Quran if we doubt its revelation. I believe this challenge is an invitation to reflect on the Quran's beauty, wisdom, and truth. I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore these questions and deepen my understanding of Islam.
