Is it okay to change at the mosque?

As-salamu alaykum, this might seem like an odd question, but I'm a recent revert and my family hasn't been supportive of my decision yet. It's been over a year since I took my shahadah, and I haven't been able to visit a mosque regularly-only once when I first embraced Islam. I'm unsure if I can change into my hijab and prayer clothes there, especially at the smaller mosque near me. Would that be acceptable, or would it be considered inappropriate? Jazakum Allahu khayran for any advice.
