My First Ramadan Experience
Assalamu alaikum everyone, I'm just so overjoyed to be experiencing my very first Ramadan! I reverted to Islam last April 27, 2025, and now here I am, Alhamdulillah, it feels incredible. I did face a bit of a challenge because I didn't eat a proper suhoor-just had one date and some coffee and totally forgot to drink water. My throat felt super dry, like there was sand in it, but I pushed through and SubhanAllah, I'm so happy I did! I actually got to connect with other reverts and met so many wonderful people at the masjid, which is a huge deal for me since I'm usually pretty shy and uncomfortable talking to others. During Fajr, I made dua to Allah SWT asking for a job since I was unemployed. And you won't believe what happened-there was a job fair right near the masjid! After Salah, I stayed and waited for it to start, and guess what? I got hired on the spot and now I have a job, Alhamdulillah! 😭 So many amazing things happened today, and it's only my first Ramadan. Alhamdulillah for everything! ☺
