Seeking Clarity on Feelings After Embracing Islam

As-salamu alaykum. I embraced Islam last June, alhamdulillah. Prior to that, I was introduced to a brother through a mutual friend. He resides in Saudi Arabia now, though he lived in the US for some time. We have developed mutual respect and care. However, given our different circumstances, a future together does not seem practical. We maintain occasional communication, always mindful to keep our interactions respectful and within appropriate bounds. Since my reversion, I have remained single, which has its challenges. He has been a supportive listener when I've needed one. While I sincerely wish for a halal path forward, I also feel concerned about potentially crossing any boundaries. Any advice is appreciated.
