Reflections on Muhammad Abduh

I’ve been pondering Muhammad Abduh’s ideas lately, and I wanted to share some thoughts. May Allah guide us. He was a big name in modern Islamic thought, but his views were complex. Some of his interpretations seemed to lean away from the clear path of our righteous predecessors. For instance, he tried to rationalize certain matters of the unseen, like miracles, which can be slippery. It reminds me to stick close to the Qur’an and Sunnah as understood by the early generations. What do you think? Have you come across his works?
