Professional Allowance for Non-Civil Servant Teachers in Pesantren Environment Begins to Be Disbursed
The government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has begun disbursing the Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) for 267 non-Civil Servant (ASN) teachers at the Muadalah Education Unit and Formal Islamic Education Institutions (SPM-PDF) in the first quarter of 2026. This policy is part of efforts to improve teacher welfare and strengthen religious-based education, with recipients having met administrative requirements, including possession of an educator certificate.
Director General of Islamic Education, Amien Suyitno, affirmed the disbursement of TPG as a form of the government's commitment to improving the quality of human resources and teacher welfare, in line with the directives of the Minister of Religious Affairs. He stated, "The government continues to strive to ensure that teacher welfare is properly met," and emphasized the strategic role of teachers in shaping the character of the nation's generation.
Director of Pesantren, Basnang Said, explained that this allowance is expected to motivate pesantren teachers to improve the quality of teaching. This policy not only provides financial support but also strengthens the position of pesantren as an important pillar in building Indonesia's human resources with character and competitiveness.
